Over his 45 years of service, he demonstrated a strong commitment to the fire service, the community and the firefighters who served alongside him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nation Fire Department said Constantineau\u2019s leadership and dedication left a lasting legacy within the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nation Mayor Francis Bri\u00e8re also expressed his condolences, saying Constantineau\u2019s passing was deeply felt throughout the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFor 45 years, Chief Constantineau served the Limoges Fire Department with dedication, leadership and a genuine commitment to the people around him,\u201d Bri\u00e8re said. \u201cHe was there for his community in moments when help was needed most, while also supporting and guiding the firefighters who served alongside him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bri\u00e8re said the memories shared by residents and those who knew Constantineau in the days following his passing have highlighted not only his years of service, but also the impact he had on those around him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey speak not only to his years of service, but to the remarkable man he was and how deeply he was valued by all who knew him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bri\u00e8re also highlighted the role volunteer firefighters play in their communities, describing them as neighbours who dedicate their time and energy to serving and protecting the places they call home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChief Constantineau understood that responsibility and devoted much of his life to it,\u201d Bri\u00e8re said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On behalf of council and The Nation Municipality, Bri\u00e8re extended his condolences to Constantineau\u2019s family, friends, former colleagues and everyone who was touched by his service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHis contribution to Limoges and to our fire service will not be forgotten,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Flags lowered to half-mast<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In honour of Constantineau, flags at municipal facilities throughout The Nation will be lowered to half-mast for the five days leading up to his funeral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Nation Fire Department also extended its condolences to Constantineau\u2019s family, friends and colleagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A vigil has been set up at Boboul Restaurant &amp; Pizza, described as Constantineau\u2019s favourite coffee spot, where residents can stop by to pay their respects and share memories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His 45 years of service represent decades of commitment to Limoges and the surrounding community, as well as to generations of firefighters who served alongside him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nation Fire Department and the Municipality of The Nation are mourning the passing of retired Fire Chief Aur\u00e8le Constantineau, who dedicated 45 years of service to the Limoges Fire Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":24,"featured_media":142596,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[61],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-142595","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"featured_media_global":{"id":137488,"title":{"rendered":"Aur\u00e8le Constantineau"},"description":{"rendered":""},"caption":{"rendered":""},"alt_text":"","media_type":"image","mime_type":"image\/jpeg","media_details":{"width":980,"height":1454,"file":"2026\/09\/Aurele-Constantineau.jpg","filesize":67760,"sizes":{"medium":{"file":"Aurele-Constantineau-202x300.jpg","width":202,"height":300,"mime-type":"image\/jpeg","filesize":11598},"large":{"file":"Aurele-Constantineau-690x1024.jpg","width":690,"height":1024,"mime-type":"image\/jpeg","filesize":68813},"thumbnail":{"file":"Aurele-Constantineau-150x150.jpg","width":150,"height":150,"mime-type":"image\/jpeg","filesize":5614},"medium_large":{"file":"Aurele-Constantineau-768x1139.jpg","width":768,"height":1139,"mime-type":"image\/jpeg","filesize":80052},"Image Size 500x500":{"file":"Aurele-Constantineau-500x500.jpg","width":500,"height":500,"mime-type":"image\/jpeg","filesize":31532}},"image_meta":{"aperture":"0","credit":"","camera":"","caption":"","created_timestamp":"0","copyright":"","focal_length":"0","iso":"0","shutter_speed":"0","title":"","orientation":"0","keywords":[],"alt":""}},"source_url":"https:\/\/editionap.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/09\/Aurele-Constantineau.jpg"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.4 -
