{"id":141778,"date":"2026-08-23T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-23T19:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/refletnews.ca\/?p=141778"},"modified":"2026-08-20T10:40:09","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T14:40:09","slug":"local-youth-recognized-for-community-spirit-through-positive-ticket-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/refletnews.ca\/en\/news\/local-youth-recognized-for-community-spirit-through-positive-ticket-program\/","title":{"rendered":"Local youth recognized for community spirit through Positive Ticket program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Township of Russell is recognizing local youth who make a positive difference in their community through its Positive Ticket program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the initiative, Public Safety and Enforcement Officers issue Positive Tickets to youth aged 16 and under who demonstrate kindness, helpfulness or community-minded behaviour. Each ticket includes a gift card donated by a local business as a way of recognizing and rewarding young residents who serve as positive role models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June, local youth Samia Ait-Ouazzou received a Positive Ticket for volunteering as a referee during Wednesday evening recreational soccer games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When organizers found themselves short on referees, Ait-Ouazzou stepped forward to help.
