One person has died following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Russell Road and Route 200 in Russell Township.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. The incident involved an SUV and a sedan.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A 70-year-old woman was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Police confirmed that no other injuries were reported as a result of\u00a0the collision.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The investigation\u00a0remains\u00a0ongoing, with\u00a0assistance\u00a0from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, as well as the Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction units. Police have not released\u00a0additional\u00a0details\u00a0at this time.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The OPP thanked the public for their patience and cooperation while emergency responders attended the scene, and the investigation continues.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
