The Casselman Vikings brought both heart and intensity to the ice during their Hockey Fights Cancer Night, held Sunday evening at the JR Brisson Complex.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Supporters were invited to \u201cpaint the arena purple\u201d during the 7:30 p.m. matchup against the Ottawa West Golden Knights, helping raise awareness and funds for a cause close to the organization.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

All proceeds from the evening\u2019s 50\/50 draw were donated to the AJ Plant Commemorative Fund. Plant, who served as the Vikings\u2019 goalie coach for six years, helped guide the team to five championships and left a lasting impact on players, staff, and the community. The fund supports initiatives that reflect his spirit, leadership, and courageous battle with cancer.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Vikings capped off the night with a dramatic 5\u20133 victory, scoring three goals in the final three minutes. Fans packed the stands, bringing energy that players and staff said made a meaningful difference on and off the ice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In total, the event raised $1,000 for the AJ Plant Commemorative Fund.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The team offered its thanks to everyone who attended, emphasizing that the strong community turnout contributed directly to the night\u2019s success.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
