Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested two motorists for impaired driving in separate incidents earlier this week.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first incident occurred on Monday, November 17, at approximately 1:55 a.m., when officers responded to a vehicle collision on Calypso Road in Limoges. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle partially submerged in water. During the investigation, an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used, and the driver failed the test. The individual was then transported to the detachment for further testing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, 21-year-old Haydon Chadwick, of The Nation, Ontario, was charged under the Criminal Code, the Cannabis Control Act, and the Highway Traffic Act with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available, young driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero, and driving with a handheld communication device.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chadwick is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 10, 2025.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The second arrest occurred on Thursday, November 20, at approximately 2:45 p.m., after officers responded to a report from a City of Clarence-Rockland By-law Officer about a man sleeping in his car, parked on the wrong side of the road in Rockland. Officers arrested the driver for impaired driving and transported him to the detachment for additional testing.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the investigation, 45-year-old Gregory Moorhouse, of Alfred-Plantagenet, Ontario, was charged under the Criminal Code with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Moorhouse is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on December 17, 2025.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both motorists received a 90-day driver\u2019s licence suspension, and their vehicles were impounded for seven days.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
