TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Russell will hold an open house and statutory public meeting to consider a new Zoning By-law for the Township of Russell, pursuant to the provisions of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

No key map is attached as the Zoning By-law applies to all lands within the entire geographic area of the Township of Russell, United Counties of Prescott and Russell.

- Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend this informal drop-in session to view the Draft Zoning By-law and speak with staff.

- Time: 6:00 p.m.
The public will be provided with an opportunity to provide oral comments to the Planning Advisory Committee and staff. This is not intended to be a question-and-answer session.
The purpose of the open house and public meeting is to provide residents, stakeholders and agencies the opportunity to inquire and provide comments with respect to the proposed new Zoning By-law. The new Zoning By-law will:
- replace the existing Township of Russell Zoning By-law;
- implement the mandatory regulations of the Planning Act, the policies of the Provincial Planning Statement, 2024, the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Official Plan, 2022, and the policies and land use designations of the Township of Russell Official Plan;
- increase the clarity, intent, and ease of understanding the various terms and provisions contained in the Zoning By-law;
- update the land use designations and associated mapping, definitions, and general provisions; and
- address emerging themes and trends in land use planning as they apply to the Township of Russell.
