Russell Township has launched REMLI, a new chatbot designed to help residents find municipal information more easily through the Township’s website.
REMLI, which stands for Russell, Embrun, Marionville, Limoges Information, provides quick access to information about municipal services, programs, projects and other topics. It can also help users identify the appropriate department to contact for specific inquiries.
The chatbot is part of several new tools introduced on the Township’s website to improve the user experience and make municipal information more accessible.
According to the Township, the chatbot was developed in response to the volume of information available on its website, which can sometimes make it difficult for residents to find what they need quickly.
Although REMLI is intended to provide answers and guide users, some inquiries may still require assistance from municipal staff. The Township emphasizes that the chatbot is designed to complement existing services, not replace direct communication with its team.
Residents who cannot find the information they need or require further assistance can email general@russell.ca or contact the appropriate municipal department.
REMLI is now available directly through the Township of Russell’s website.
