A 37-year-old Prescott man is facing multiple charges after a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 416 early on Sunday, July 27.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., officers from the Ottawa detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a vehicle that had overturned near Hunt Club Road.
Police say the driver, identified as Andrew Boschetti, appeared to have been consuming alcohol. A roadside screening test was conducted, and the driver was transported to the detachment for further testing. The breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit.
Boschetti has been charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus and dangerous operation.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa at a later date.
