Dangerous driving in Limoges leads to criminal charges

A 43-year-old man from Limoges is facing multiple charges after Ontario Provincial Police observed a vehicle being driven dangerously through a residential area on Monday, May 19, afternoon. 

The incident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m., when a member of the OPP East Region TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enforcement) team witnessed a vehicle speeding through a neighbourhood where children were playing nearby. 

Police say the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled on foot. He was apprehended a short time later. 

Eric Mainville, 43, of Limoges, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while under suspension. 

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on September 3, 2025. 

In addition to the charges, the vehicle involved has been impounded for 45 days.
