Russell Township seeks public’s help after trailer theft

The Township of Russell is asking residents to come forward with any information following the theft of a trailer from municipal facilities on Route 400.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 14, between 4:07 a.m. and 4:20 a.m. According to officials, the trailer had been secured with both wheel and hitch locks, which were cut during the theft.  

Images captured by surveillance cameras have been released to assist with the investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen the trailer, as well as any barricades or “No Stopping” signs in the area, to report what they witnessed.  

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Township of Russell or the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
