One person has died following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of North Russell Road and Route 200 in Russell Township.
Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m. The incident involved an SUV and a sedan.
A 70-year-old woman was transported to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. Police confirmed that no other injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing, with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, as well as the Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction units. Police have not released additional details at this time.
The OPP thanked the public for their patience and cooperation while emergency responders attended the scene, and the investigation continues.
